Tampa Cancer Center
It is beyond the scope of this web site to discuss all the types of cancer and their treatments. Even with more common tumors, there are individual circumstances that  influence treatment decisions.  The best way to learn about your cancer is by having a frank discussion with an oncologist about your specific situation.

In addition to the more conventional treatments described on these pages, we occasionally recommend highly individualized approaches.  For instance, in some circumstances, it is possible to run chemotherapy directly into the blood supply to the tumor, instead of exposing the entire body.  We have a cell culture laboratory where anti-tumor vaccines  and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes can be grown.  Our interventional radiologists are skilled at tumor embolization which plugs the blood supply to tumors.  Vertebroplasty is a procedure to inject plastic into damaged spinal bones, thus stabilizing them and relieving pain.

We are a full service, tertiary care, cancer center.  We are an NCI/CTSU member.  Call us with your questions at  Cancer HelpLink  813-870-4123
